Oktober 2008 war es endlich soweit. Ich hatte mich gewagt der Eule mit einer heißen Nadel ein Piercing zu verpassen und sie endlich auf Reisen zu schicken. Der dafür ausgewählte Cache waren die Gräueltat in Bornheim. Ein netter kleiner Multi. Der Fundort war einigermaßen dubios, fanden wir doch eine merkwürdige Klamottentruhe nur wenige Meter entfernt. Trotzdem wollte ich das Abenteuer endlich wagen und den Steinkauz losschicken. Eine Woche verstrich, keiner hatte den Cache gefunden, zwei Wochen... Am 23. Dezember dann der Schock, ein "nicht gefunden" geloggt. Natürlich bot sich um Weihnachten herum keine Gelegenheit den länglichen Weg nach Bornheim anzugehen, und auch über Neujahr und die Woche danach keine Chance in Aussicht. Warum ich in dieser Zeit auch keine Benachrichtigung erhalten habe, ist mir ein Rätsel.<br /> <br /> Am 10.01. schließlich, als ich die beiden Caches, die wir im Rahmen des Orga Tomb Raider Meetings gesucht haben, loggen wollte, sah ich nochmal in die Logs zu Steinkauz und wurde angenehm überrascht. Nicht nur war der TB inzwischen gefunden worden, nein, er hatte schon viermal den Reisebegleiter gewechselt und hatte bereits fast 500 Kilometer zurück gelegt und es nach Bayern geschafft.
