18. Cache - Emmerichs Kamin (GCR7D9)
Nur wenige Meter vom Overather McDonalds entfernt war schon der nächste Cache versteckt. Auf ein Umparken konnten wir also getrost verzichten.
Unser Ziel war eine Ruine mitten auf einer fast-Insel, in einem See, in einem Miniwäldchen, zwischen einem Baumarkt, einer Autobahn und einer Bundesstaße. Das wir auf die Insel mussten, wurde uns klar, nachdem wir uns, den Koordinaten nähernd, plötzlich am Ufer wiederfanden. Wir schlichen daraufhin erst einmal den Trampelpfad entlang, auf der Suche nach einem Boot, einer Schleuse, die das Wasser ablassen würde, oder einer anderen genialen Idee. Dabei trafen wir auf verschiedene Bäume, die nummeriert waren und mussten ein Brückchen überqueren. Wir kamen schließlich zu einer Stelle, wo man vielleicht weiter käme. Wenn man Gummistiefel an hätte, oder sehr weit springen könnte, oder durchs Gehölz klettern könnte. Jetzt folgte eine Szene, wie man sie aus diversen Adventures kennt. Man hat mehrere Figuren, die alle mit verschiedenen Fähigkeiten ausgestattet sind.  Emmerichs Kamin Also bin ich rüber, habe alles angetestet, habe dann versucht die Brücke zu erschaffen, bin gescheitert, dann kam Jan rüber und hat die Brücke herumgeschwenkt. So waren dann alle mehr oder weniger trockenen Fußes (meine waren trocken, bei den anderen weiß ich es nicht) auf der Ferieninsel. Hier war die Ruine schnell inspiziert und der Cache schnell gefunden, auch wenn Pete kurzzeitig mit Tomaten auf den Augen kämpfte. Er ist halt noch ein Frischling unter den Geocachern; gebt ihm eine Woche.  Um 11:51 hatten wir jedenfalls dann den zweiten Cache in den Händen. Kein popeliger Micro, sonder ein solider "Small". Hier wurde es Zeit für die erste Verabschiedung. Jans Begleiter seit Freitag, der Travel Bug, "Davids First" wurde hier wieder ausgesetzt und auf seine weitere Reise geschickt. Möge ihn diese noch um die Welt bringen. Als neuen Gast haben wir im Gegenzug den GeoCoin "Rudi the lion dog" in Empfang genommen, welchen ich bis zu seiner Weiterreise bewachen werde. Auf dem Rückweg entdeckten wir eine Abkürzung. (Ja sicher, wir sind geschwommen, so sehen wir aus... )Fazit: Fallen: sumpfiger Matsch, kleine Brücke, Wege aus Ästen Gegner: / Rätsel: Der Cache selber war leicht zu finden, aber der Weg zu den Koordinaten war einzigartig.
