Der Plan für heute lautete: Cachen in Rheinland-Pfalz. Von uns ist es ja nicht so weit. Sogar unser Linienbus dringt bis ins Nachbar-Bundesland vor, also warum nicht auch wir. Den Anfang sollten allerdings noch zwei Caches auf dem Weg nach Rheinland-Pfalz machen. Der erste davon war "Zwischen den Dörfern".
Die erste Station konnten wir mit dem Auto erledigen. Dort fanden wir ein Gedenkkreuz mit einer Jahreszahl, die ABCD entsprach. Aus diesen vier Zahlen konnten wir die Koordinaten für die zweite Station errechnen, an der wir eine Postleitzahl und eine Telefonnummer finden würden. Hier konnten wir auch am Feldweg parken. Wir gingen zu Fuß zu einem Waldstück hinab. Hier fanden wir die dritte Station. Eine Filmdose, in der man den nächsten Hinweis finden sollte. Dieser Micro war schnell gefunden und bot uns direkt die Koordinaten für die nächsten Station. Die vierte Station, welche man über Serpentinen, den Berg hinab erreichen konnte, war leider nicht so schnell gelöst wie die vorherigen drei. Bei dieser Station handelte es sich um eine Brücke, die über einen kleinen Bach führte und an der etwas abzulesen war. Hier erhielt man zwar einen weiteren Hinweis, der aber leider alles andere als eindeutig war. Wir hatten letztendlich 3 Kombinationen ausgewählt, die am wahrscheinlichsten waren.  Davon führte eine scheinbar genau den Weg weiter. Wir folgten also dem Weg und entschlossen uns einen kleinen nach rechts ansteigenden Pfad zu wählen, statt der großen Straße, auf der außerdem ein Pumpwagen stand, zu folgen. Oben wies der Pfeil dann mitten auf das Feld und es schien so, als wäre ein Baum mitten in einem Tälchen gemeint. Wir machten uns auf, quer über das Feld, auf diesen Baum zu. Dabei holten wir uns fast nasse Füße und mussten ganz schön an hochstehenden Graßbüscheln, am Zaun entlang hangeln. Leider waren wir dann zwar am Baum angekommen, aber immer noch einige Meter vom Ziel entfernt. Da wir nun schon mal durch das Wasser waren, wollten wir auch nicht zurück und folgten dem GPS noch bis zu einer Stelle am Zaun, mitten auf der Weide, wo aber nichts zu finden war. Also hatten wir vermutlich die falschen Koordinaten gewählt. Wir begaben uns die Weide hinab um auf die Straße zu kommen, von dort gingen wir zurück zu der Stelle wo wir zuvor nach oben gegangen waren, um die nächsten Koordinaten, die von dort in die andere Richtung zeigten, zu untersuchen. Hier endeten wir leider mitten auf einem Feld. An dieser Stelle entschlüsselte ich den Hinweis zu diesem Micro, der uns eindeutig verriet, dass mitten auf dem Feld falsch sein musste. Wir begaben uns entmutigt auf den Rückweg zum Auto, da die dritten Koordinaten über einen Kilometer von unserem momentanen Standort entfernt wären. Unterwegs kamen wir wieder am Hinweis vorbei und es kam uns noch eine Idee, wie das Rätsel zu verstehen sein könnte. Das wollten wir aber heute nicht mehr versuchen.
