Das Baumschulwäldchen (GCW1C0)
Nach der Arbeit wollten wir unseren nächsten Multi-Cache versuchen, nachdem wir den ersten nicht geschafft hatten. Leider würde uns hier das Navi einen großen Strich durch die Rechnung machen.
Wir fanden den ersten Punkt ganz einfach, da wir den Springbrunnen kannten. Leider wussten wir nicht, wieviele Düsen hier im Sommer für Wasser sorgen würden. Im Winter waren diese abgebaut. In der Beschreibung steht zwar, dass man alternativ im Dunklen mit Licht Reflektoren zählen konnte, aber alles was wir sahen, war ein riesen Metallgitter in der Mitte, eine kleine Metallluke am Rand und eine einzige Auslaßdüse... keine guten Voraussetzungen. Da wir diese Anzahl aber erst am Ende des Rätsels brauchen würden, machten wir uns erst einmal daran, die anderen Teilrätsel zu lösen. Steine, die um eine aus weiteren Steinen aufgeschichteten Säule liegen, zählen. Ging einfach, hier war das Navi einigermaßen exakt. Auf einem Steinrelief die abgebildeten Personen zählen. Das Navi lag weit daneben, aber Anhand der Beschreibung war die Stelle klar. An einem Sandkasten die Anzahl der Segmente der Einfassung zählen. Das Navi lag so daneben, dass wir erst am falschen Sandkasten zählten. (Die ganze Zeit über versagte auch der Kompass immer wieder, bzw. kam er nie zum Stillstand...) Die Anzahl der Segmente am richtigen Sandkasten war zum Glück die selbe. Das Denkmal haben wir dann gar nicht erst mit dem Navi gesucht, da es offensichtlich im Park stand. Hier haben wir die letzten Zahlen notiert. Dann mussten wir uns die Koordinaten natürlich erst mal wieder umrechnen. Und dann fanden wir diese nicht. Wir haben dann gesucht und gesucht und gesucht und schließlich "Micro 2" eines anderen Caches gefunden.... Den eigentlichen Cache haben wir nicht mehr gehoben. 4. Cache - Burgschatz (GCXBZ0)
Auf ging es kurz nach Mittag, Richtung Blankenberg. Wir haben an der Burgruine geparkt und sind zu Fuß in die Stadt gegangen, da die Cache-Koordinaten an der Stadtmauer gelegen waren.
 Blankenberg Also rein in die Stadt und dann nach links. Die ganze Zeit lagen wir im Streit mit unserem Navi, was uns am liebsten ein wenig außerhalb der Stadt gesehen hätte. Leider ist die Reaktionszeit des Gerätes zu langsam und die Ungenauigkeit manchmal über 10 m. An der Stadtmauer gab es schon diverse interessante Stellen, wo man sich fast ein Versteck hätte denken können... Weiter geht es im verstecken Anhang, da ich dieses Mal genauer auf die Fundstelle eingehe, da dieser einen Großteil der Geschichte ausmacht. Wenn ihr also den Burgschatz nicht gehoben habt, dieses aber irgendwann einmal vorhabt (wozu ich euch raten würde, netter kleiner Cache), solltet ihr nicht weiter lesen! Burgschatz
Eben vor der Arbeit noch den Burgschatz gehoben.
 Stadt Blankenberg: Blick auf die Burg. Aber fangen wir mal von vorne an: Da wir noch etwas Zeit hatten, bevor wir zur Arbeit mußten, haben wir uns einfach unseren Ordner mit Locations geschnappt und sind los.  Wenn man kein Weitwinkel dabei hat, läßt man sich nachher einfach eins aus mehreren Bildern ausrechnen.  Haben außerhalb von Blankenberg geparkt und sind dann los gezogen, die ganze Zeit begleitet vom grandiosen Blick über das Siegtal und die mittelalterliche Kulisse auf der anderen Seite. An den Koordinaten angekommen war sich das GPS mal wieder nicht ganz so sicher, ob wir nun wirklich da wären, und so haben wir uns einfach etwas umgeschaut - zuerst etwas fruchtlos. Sind dann noch einen anderen Weg gegangen, haben das Auto umgeparkt, aber schließlich haben dann den Cache doch genau dort gefunden, wo wir zuerst gesucht hatten. Fazit: Schneller Cache, wenn man nicht zu früh aufgibt und dem Navi nicht traut!
Dienstag, 22. Januar 2008Die ersten drei Caches
Jana hat schon so viel dazu geschrieben, da weiß ich gar nicht, was ich dem noch hinzufügen soll. Aber ich versuchs mal. Da es allerdings nicht all zu viel werden wird, beschränke ich mich mal auf einen Artikel.
Vorneweg: Ich bin in den letzten beiden Tagen mehr durch den Schlamm gerobbt als in der ganzen Zeit davor (also, seit meiner Kindheit jetzt; damals™ habe ich auch mal den Wald angezündet, aber das ist eine gaaaanz andere Geschichte, die wir lieber sofort wieder vergessen... ) Das Resultat ist jedenfalls Muskelkater. Da ich - um Kosten zu sparen - ja auch mein Trim-Dich-Abo in der Muckibude gekündigt habe, bin ich in letzter Zeit doch ziemlich untrainiert. Aber das wird sich ja jetzt hoffentlich ändern.Aber jetzt zu den Caches: Der erste Cache meines Lebens war die Rehwiese (GC18C4Y). Der liegt auf dem Weg zwischen Hennef und Seelscheid (um genau zu sein, zwischen Ingersau und Neunkirchen). Wir uns also auf den Parkplatz gestellt und angefangen zu suchen. Vorher hatte ich bereits die Grad-Minuten-Sekunden-Angaben in Dezimaldarstellung umgerechnet, denn das ist das einzige, was unser blödes Acer-Navi anzeigen kann. (Ein brauchbare(re)s GPS muß ganz dringend her, aber dazu mehr weiter runten, von wegen "im Kreis Laufen" und so!) Da wir beide ja noch völlig unbeleckt waren, wie man so schön sagt, sind wir also erst mal eine viertel Stunde durch den Wald geirrt, nur um festzustellen, daß wir wieder viel zu kompliziert gedacht hatten. Denn der Cache - eine Filmdose, deren Edding-Beschriftung bereits ziemlich abgenutzt war, befüllt mit einem Logbuch im Mini-Format - war viel leichter zu finden. Stolz habe ich haufenweise Fotos gemacht, die ich alle nicht zeigen darf, um hier niemanden zu spoilern. (Obwohl ich mal davon ausgehe, daß das hier ja eh mal wieder keine Sau liest!) Der zweite Cache war MBC #1 (GC1857K). Denn nachdem wir erstmal Blut geleckt hatten, wollten wir sofort mehr! Also kurz das Internet besucht und die Beschreibung ausgedruckt, und schon ging es wieder los. Dieser Cache war nur unwesentlich schwieriger. Oder wäre es gewesen, wenn wir nicht "unten" geparkt hätten, sondern stattdessen die Rütsch hoch gefahren wären. Aber nein, man will ja was für seinen Körper tun, und deswegen sind wir durch den Wald, querfeldein den Hang hoch. (Wußte nicht, daß da hinten noch eine Kapelle steht; müßte man sich bei Gelegenheit mal anschauen, denn da sind wir auf dem Rückweg nicht mehr zu gekommen, weil es anfing zu regnen - aber ich greife mir selber vor.) Oben angekommen folgten wir jedenfalls dem Feldweg bis zu den passenden Koordinaten und haben nach kurzer Suche das Objekt unserer Begierde auch gefunden - ebenfalls eine Filmdose, dieses Mal sogar mit Mini-Bleistift. Stolz haben wir uns eingetragen und erst später auf den Fotos bemerkt, daß bereits zwei Stunden vor uns jemand da gewesen war. Danach mußten wir noch den Berg runter, und da fing es bereits zu nieseln an. Das hat den Fuchs allerdings nicht gestört, das haben wir schon erledigt. Da Jana ja direkt einen ganzen Stapel Locations ausgedruckt hatte, sind wir schließlich doch noch die Rütsch hoch, um nach dem nächsten, dem Dondorfer Wäldchen, zu suchen. Unterwegs packte mich die Abenteuerlust und ich bin einfach mal links abgebogen, wo wir dann den einfacheren Weg zu unserem zweiten Cache gefunden haben - und eine ganz böse Bodenwelle, auf der ich mich mit meinem Civic erst mal festgefahren habe. Achja, diese Hilfsbereitschaft unter den Menschen... statt zu helfen haben die Sonntagsspaziergänger einfach nur blöd gegrinst.Das Dondorfer Wälchen haben wir dann nicht mehr gefunden, einerseits weil es anfing, junge Hunde zu regnen, andererseits ging das Licht aus, weil es schon so spät geworden war. Aber immerhin hatten wir eine ziemlich genaue Vorstellung vom Ort, wo es sein mußte. Am nächsten Tag kam dann das Fiasko mit dem Dondorfer Dom, aber da hat Jana ja schon genug drüber erzählt, das möchte ich nicht noch mehr breit treten. Wir haben uns das mal vorgemerkt für den Frühling, wenn das Wetter etwas besser ist. Der dritten gefundenen Cache, das Dondorfer Wäldchen (GC110FT), war hingegen nicht schwer zu finden. Allerdings hatten wir uns wieder die anspruchsvolle Strecke den Berg hoch ausgesucht. Aber das und einige Rehe sowie das spinnerte Navi, das uns erst mal im Kreis geschickt hat - lag wahrscheinlich am Wetter und den hohen Bäumen - konnten uns nicht davon abhalten, den Cache in seiner Munitionskiste zu finden. Tolle Sachen gab es da drin, die wir alle fotografiert haben. Und wieder werde ich euch keine Bilder zeigen! Alles in allem kann ich diese drei Caches jedem Anfänger wie uns nur empfehlen: Nicht zu schwer und man bekommt eine recht schnelle Belohnung für seine Anstrengungen, was ja gerade am Anfang immer wichtig ist. So, und heute wirds vielleicht ja auch noch was mit dem Caching: Habe einen Multicache in Bonn ausgedruckt, gar nicht so weit von der Mathe entfernt, wo wir gleich ja noch arbeiten müssen... |
