10. Cache - Alter Vulkan (GCG2JH)
Freitag, von vorne herein fest als Ausruhtag eingeplant.
 Diesmal hatten wir erst vor, gar nicht loszuziehen, dann sind wir aber, weil es sich so anbot, den ganzen Tag und nicht wie zuvor nur Nachmittags unterwegs gewesen.Diesmal habe ich Jan die Zusammenstellung überlassen; einzige Bedingung: ich wollte einen Travel Bug finden. Ein Travel Bug ist eigentlich eine Hundemarke mit einer Trackingnummer, an Hand derer man nachverfolgen kann, wo sich dieser gerade aufhält. Travel Bugs haben Besitzer und zum Großteil Missionen (z.B. reise um die Welt). Diese Marke kann entweder alleine reisen, oder aber an ihr ist etwas angebracht. (Das ganze erinnert ein wenig an die reisende Lara.) Jan führte uns ins Siebengebirge. (Hinter den sieben Bergen, bei den sieben Zwergen.) Der erste Berg auf der Liste war der "Weilberg". Seltsamer Name. Hier gab es den Cache "Alter Vulkan". Einen Multi. Geparkt haben wir am Kloster Heisterbach. Von dort waren es nur wenige Meter bis zu einer ersten Station. Diese bestand aus einem Wegweiser, der uns zu einer Hinweistafel bringen sollte. Auf dieser Hinweistafel, die man an einem beeindruckenden Steinbruch fand, würde man dann herausfinden, aus welchen Gesteinsgruppen verschiedene Berge des Siebengebirges bestanden und daraus erhielten wir zwei Zahlen.  Eine schöne Stelle. (Das Bild ist aus mehreren einzelnen zusammengerechnet worden, leider waren nicht alle gleich belichtet...) Diese zwei Zahlen brachten uns - in die nächsten halb-angegebenen Koordinaten eingesetzt - zu einer weiteren Station, an der wir ein Datum erfahren sollten. Der Tag, sowie die ersten beiden Ziffern der Jahreszahl, wären die nächsten drei Zahlen für eine weitere Koordinate, den Fundort des Caches. Soweit war es einfach, wenn auch viel zu laufen und zu klettern. Nun begaben wir uns über den Rundweg auf die Suche nach dem Cache. Leider sind wir dem Hinweis, dass wir auf den Wegen bleiben könnten, zum Opfer gefallen und haben, statt den nicht ganz offiziell aussehenden Forstweg in den Wald zu nehmen, den Rundweg weiter genommen. Das Ende vom Lied war natürlich, dass wir einmal um den Berg gelaufen sind, um dann wieder dorthin zurückzukehren. So kann man auch 15 Minuten totschlagen. Den Cache fanden wir dann auch nicht direkt, weil die Koordinaten um 10 Meter daneben lagen. Das kann passieren, wenn der eine eine leichte Ungenauigkeit hat, und wir ebenso. Dann fanden wir ihn aber doch (mehr oder weniger gemeinsam, ich habe es eine Sekunde eher erspäht) und darin unseren ersten Travel Bug "Davids First", welchen Jan an sich genommen hat. Die Mission dieses Travel Bugs lautet: Reise um die Welt und komme schließlich nach Hamburg. So unheimlich weit war er noch nicht, also sollten wir zusehen ihn in den nächsten Flieger zu packen. Ein Cache am Flughafen wäre nahe liegend. Ansonsten haben wir das rosa Auto aus dem Burgschatz da gelassen und gegen einen roten Elefanten getauscht. Danach sind wir erstmal zurück zum Parkplatz um als nächstes zur Chorruine zu gehen. Fazit: Fallen: Stolperhölzer, Irrpfade Gegner: Nur eine Frau mit Kind, versteckte Wildschweine (nur die Wühllöcher waren vorhanden) Rätsel: bis auf die 10 Meter Abweichung nicht schwer Cacher: Jan & Jana Finder: Team 13:25 Kommentare
